RE: NEW PROJECT Rolkin Road Multifamily I Rivanna Ridge PDMC Amendment
COMMUNITY MEETING
Dear Neighbor,
We invite you to share comments and ask questions regarding our request to amend the existing
Rivanna Ridge Planned District Mixed Commercial (PDMC) area. This amendment requests to
allow for the development of a residential multifamily building on tax map parcel 07800-00-00-
073AA. The parcel, totaling 10.97 acres, is located just south of the Rivanna Ridge Shopping
Center. The parcel has frontage on Rolkin Road and is adjacent to the Carriage Hill community
and the future proposed Hampton Inn Hotel (see attached concept plan for site context). The
proposed PDMC amendment would allow for 60 residential units on the property, for a density
of 6 DUA. The 60 units are proposed to be constructed in one multifamily building, with four
stories over a parking area on the ground floor. In addition to the PDMC amendment, this
application requests a re -designation of steep slopes on the property from "preserved" to
"managed."
We invite you to ask questions and share comments about the proposed project, County review
procedures, and relevant regulations and policies of the County applicable to the proposed
project at a community meeting. The meeting will be held at the Martha Jefferson Hospital
Outpatient Center in the Kessler Conference Room on Monday, October 24 at 6:15 p.m, in
conjunction with the Pantops Community Advisory Committee meeting.
