1 General Reauirements
1.01 All equipment in the pimp station shall. be installed in
accordance with the manufacturer's requirements and
recommFndations.
1.02 All equipment and materials' that will be used in the
installation and construction of a pump station shall be
selected from the Service Authority's Approved Products List
Shop drawings, catalog data, etc. shall, prior to the star
of construction, be submitted to the Authority as part of th
initial submittal for items not on the Approved Products
List.
1.03 Operation and Maintenance Manuals shall be submitted to t
Service Authority prior to conducting the pump tests for al
equipment installed in the pump station. Organize
Maintenance and Operating Manual information into suitable
sets of manageable size and bind into individual binders
properly identified and indexed (thumbtabbed); examples:
pumps, electrical equipment, instrumentation. Include
emergency instructions, spare parts listing, warranties,
wiring diagrams, recommended "turnaround cycles", inspecti
procedures, shop drawings, product data, and similar
applicable information. Bind each manual of each set in
heavy-duty, two-inch, three-ring vinyl covered binder, an
include pocket folders for folded sheet information. Mar

sets shall be provided to the Authority.
1.04 Arrange for each installer of work requiring continuing
maintenance or operation, to meet with the Service
Authority's personnel, at project site, to provide basic
instructions needed for proper operation and maintenance
entire work. Include instructions by manufacturer's
representatives where installers are not expert in the
required procedures. Review maintenance manuals, record
documentation, tools, spare parts and materials, lubricant
fuels, identification system, control sequences, hazards,
cleaning and similar procedures and facilities. For
operational equipment, demonstrate start-up, shutdown,
emergency operations, noise and vibration adjustments,
safety, economy/efficiency adjustments, and similar
operations. Review maintenance and operations in relation
with applicable warranties, and similar continuing
commitments.

2. Electric
2.01 All electrical work shall conform to the requirements of the
American Insurance Association, National Electric Code, and
related agencies and to relevant state and/or local codes.
2.02 All electrical wiring shall be installed in conduit and o
located so as not to interfere with the maintenance of the do
pumps, equipment, etc.
2.03 Electrical panels will be properly mounted on a wall. Clear /
access must be maintained to controls. Doors and panels of
t electric boxes must be clear to open at least 180 degrees and /
e not be blocked by piping on other fixtures.

2.04 The design engineer shall consider soil conditions in the /
