Please find our responses to the comments below in bold lettering. 1. [32.5.2(a)] On the cover sheet, include the site plan number assigned to this minor amendment — SDP2022-00050. The site plan number has been added to Sheet C0.0. 2. [32.5.2(a)] On the cover sheet of the plan, in addition to the zoning district, identify that this property is subject to ZMA2004-00005. The referenced ZMA has been added to Sheet C0.0. 3. [32.5.2(a)] Provide, on the cover sheet, the most recently recorded legal instrument information for the subject property. Deed book and page number for the subject property have been listed on Sheet C0.0. 4. [32.5.2(f)] Indicate whether the site is located within an agricultural -forestal district. A note has been added to Sheet C0.0. 5. [32.5.2(f)] Indicate whether the Middle Rivanna River watershed is a public water supply reservoir watershed. A note has been added to Sheet C0.0. 6. [32.5.2(n)] On sheet C4.0 of the site plan (the site layout sheet), provide labels identifying for what I assume are benches, as well as the height of the wall stone base. A label has been added to Sheet C4.0. ENGINEERING I DESIGN I TECHNOLOGY 7. [32.5.2(n)] Also, identify the 8.6'-wide pathway designated with dashed lines. It appears that it may be an archaeological feature. A label has been added to Sheet C4.0. The pathway indicates the approximate location of a historic road. However, an archaeological study has been completed by the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, and no evidence was uncovered of the road. We've indicated it in our plans, but there is no further action required to avoid/protect the road during construction. 8. [32.5.2(p)] Provide a copy of the signed tree conservation checklist on one of the sheets of the site plan, since there are proposed to be trees retained within the limits of disturbance. A signed copy of the Tree Conservation Checklist has been added to Sheet L6.20. Comments from Other Reviewing Departments, Divisions, and Agencies Albemarle County Engineering Services (Engineer) John Anderson, janderson2@albemarle.org— Requested changes; see the comments below: 1. WP0202200029 plan approval required for MIA approval, unless revised LOD indicate <10,000 ft2. Exhibit would be required to indicate LOD <10,000 ft2. Ref. Albemarle County Engineering guidance email sent to Applicant, September 1, 2022 2:57 PM (J. Anderson to Kim Roeser). Per correspondence with John Anderson, the project will be split into phases, with neither of the phases exceeding 10,000 SF in disturbance. Therefore, the WPO application has been withdrawn, and this project will no longer be subject to VESCP/VSMP requirements. Albemarle County Architectural Review Board (ARB) Margaret Maliszewski, mmaliszewski@albemarle.org— No objections at this time. Albemarle County Building Inspections Betty Slough, bslough@albemarle.org— Review pending; comments will be forwarded to applicant upon receipt by Planning staff.
