Re: SUB - 2013 -081 Houndstooth — Preliminary Plat
Dear Ms. Yaniglos:
We have reviewed the preliminary plat for Houndstooth dated June 5, 2013 and revised on July
8, 2013 as submitted by Roger Ray & Associates and offer the following comments:
1. VDOT's previous comments have been addressed and VDOT has no objection to the
preliminary plat.
2. Additional detail will be necessary on the road plans for this project. Information such as
the road profile, sight lines, edge of pavement for Free Union Road, drainage calculations
etc. will need to be included with the road plans.
3. Reference to sight distance being found adequate by VDOT staff needs to be removed
from future plats and road plans. The surveyor "engineer of record is responsible for
determining sight distance which will be verified during the review process by VDOT.
4. Approval of the preliminary plat by VDOT is not intended as an approval of any final
plat or road plans for this project which is yet to be submitted.
