CONTRACTOR MUST STRIP, STOCKPILE, AND REPLACE TOPSOIL IN LOCATIONS OF PROPOSED STOCKPILES TO ENSURE A MINIMUM OF 6" OF TOPSOIL ON TOP OF THE FINISHED GRADI OF ALL STOCKPILE AREAS. 2. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO CONTACT MISS UTILITY (DIAL 811 IN VA OR 1-800-552-7001) PRIOR TO ANY UTILITY OR SITE WORK EXCAVATIONS. 3. INSTALL PUMP AROUND PRACTICE AS NEEDED TO MAINTAIN DRY WORKING CONDITIONS. CHANNEL CONSTRUCTION SHOULD BE COMPLETED IN SEGMENTS AND CONTRACTOR MUST PERMANENTLY OR TEMPORARILY STABILIZE SITE AT THE END OF EACH WORK DAY. 4. ALL DISTURBED SLOPES 3:1 OR STEEPER MUST BE PROTECTED WITH COIR 700 MATTING. SHALLOWER SLOPES MUST BE STABILIZED WITH STRAW MULCH PER VESCH 3.35. 5. REFER TO PLANTING PLAN SHEETS FOR TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT VEGETATIVE STABILIZATION. 6. SILT FENCE SHALL BORDER THE PERIMETER OF ALL STOCKPILE AREAS. 7. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING ALL EXISTING ON -SITE UTILITIES, BOTH ABOVE AND BELOW GROUND, ARE PROTECTED FROM DAMAGE DUE TO CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AND SITE ACCESS. 8. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH ALBEMARLE COON UTILITIES TO PROTECT EXISTING UTILITIES WITHIN THE STREAM CORRIDOR. 9. FINAL STABILIZATION OF ALL DISTURBED AREAS NOT SHOWI PROTECTED BY COIR MATTING WILL INCLUDE STRAW EC-2 MATTING (COIR 700 OR APPROVED ALTERNATIVE) AND SEEDING. 10. CONSTRUCTION INVOLVES A LIMITED EASEMENT CORRIDOR WITH MINIMUM SPACE FOR MATERIALS STAGING. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PLAN FOR SMALLER MATERIAL LOADS AND HANDLING AT ANY GIVEN TIME.
