This letter is to notify you as an adjacent owner about the above -referenced application, AFD202200001 is a proposed
addition to the Hatton Agricultural and Forestal District (Albemarle County Code 4 3-219). The parcel proposed for
addition is Tax Map 136 Parcel 9H2 (82.43 acres, located on James River Road (Route 726), one-half mile west of the
intersection with Hatton Ferry Road (Route 625). The Agricultural -Forestal Districts program is a voluntary land -
conservation program for landowners in the County's Rural Area. Additional legal information is on the following page.
This application will be reviewed, and public comment received, at the Albemarle County Planning Commission meeting
on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. The Albemarle County Planning Commission will meet at 6:00 p.m., Lane Auditorium,
Second Floor, County Office Building, 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, Virginia. The public hearing is also being
conducted through electronic communication means and the opportunities for the public to access and participate in the
public hearing are posted on the Albemarle County website at www.albemarle.org/community/county-calendar, including
access by telephone at 877-853-5247 (Toll Free), Webinar ID: 8917876 2509
The staff report and agenda will be posted to www.albemarle.org/government/community-development/advisory-
boards/planning-commission as soon as it is available and approximately one week prior to the meeting date. Information
on how to access this virtual meeting, and how to comment on the application at this meeting, can be accessed via the
County's calendar for the appropriate meeting date. Speakers are encouraged to sign-up in advance of the meeting by
emailing the Planning Commission Clerk at cshaffer2@albemarle.org and providing your name and what item you wish to
speak to. Comments may also be submitted to Planning Commission members directly at
planningcommission@albemarle.org or by letter sent to the address in the letterhead of this correspondence.
After the Commission has made a recommendation on the proposal, a public hearing will be scheduled for the Board of
Supervisors. Public hearing items are typically scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m., but some Board meetings begin as early as
1:00 p.m. You will not receive a letter of notification about the Board of Supervisors hearing; however, you may check the
status of Board meetings at the County's calendar at www.albemarle.org/community/county-calendar. You may also
follow these steps to sign up for the Albemarle County Newsletter:
1. Go to: www.albemarle.org.
2. Place your mouse on the "Community° tab at the top and select "Sign up for our newsletter"
3. Fallow the instructions on the sign-up page.
