Subject: Saine/Grinspun Amendment to Jurisdictional Boundariies
Dear Mr. Benish,
Please withdraw our Application to Amend the Service Authority Jurisdictional Areas (water only). We have decided
from conversations with you and our board of supervisors that drilling a well was our only option. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jeff Saine
P.S. If I could make a suggestion. The planning commission and to a certain extent the application itself leads one to
believe that it would be possible to make a case to have jurisdictional areas changed based upon reason and common
sense analysis of poorly drawn and arbitrary boundary lines. This is not the case however, and is obviously a political
issue. Although there would not be an application if the board was confident that all lines were correctly and fairly
placed, the only criteria for amending currently drawn lines is if n4 water can be had by any other means. Much wasted
time and money could be spared by having all potential applicants contact the health department before the application
is filled out. Especially non-commercial applicants.
