Dear Property Owner,
This letter is to notify you as an adjacent owner about the above -referenced review process. AFD202200002 is the
periodic (10-year) review of the Blue Run Agricultural and Forestal District, as required in section 15.2-4311 of the Code of
Virginia. The district is composed of the following described lands, identified by parcel identification number: Tax map 22, parcels
10, 12,16; Tax map 34, parcel 51; Tax map 35, parcels 22, 23, 24A, 26, 26B, 26B1, 26C, 26D, 28A, 29, 31, 32A, 37A1, 41A,
41A1, 41E, 43; Tax map 36, parcels 6A, 9, 20; Tax map 49, parcels 4A1, 4A5, 24, 24A, 2413; Tax map 50: parcels 5, 5B, 32A, 41A,
41Q, 42A, 42A1, 43, 45B, 47, 47A, 47B; Tax map 51: parcels 13, 14. The area is designated as Rural Area in the Comprehensive
Plan and the included properties are zoned RA Rural Areas. Additional legal information is on the following page.
Agricultural and Forestal Districts are voluntary conservation districts that landowners can join to support the County's efforts to
protect the Rural Areas. Land in the Districts is subject to limitations on subdivisions and some other development activity. Your
property is not in the District and is not subject to those limitations, but is adjacent to the District. You are receiving this letter to
notify you of a public hearing on the proposed addition.
This review will be discussed, and public comment received, at the Albemarle County Planning Commission meeting on Tuesday,
December 13, 2022. The Albemarle County Planning Commission will meet at 6:00 p.m., Lane Auditorium, Second Floor, County
Office Building, 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, Virginia. The public hearing is also being conducted through electronic
communication means and the opportunities for the public to access and participate in the public hearing are posted on the
Albemarle County website at www.albemarle.org/community/county-calendar, including access by telephone at 877-853-5247
(Toll Free), Webinar ID: 8917876 2509
The staff report and agenda will be posted to www.albemarle.ore/governmenUcommunity-development/advisory-
boards/planning-commission as soon as it is available and approximately one,week prior to the meeting date. Information on
how to access this virtual meeting, and how to comment on the item at this meeting, can be accessed via the County's calendar
for the appropriate meeting date. Speakers are encouraged to sign-up in advance of the meeting by emailing the Planning
Commission Clerk at cshaffer2Ca)albemarle.org and providing your name and what item you wish to speak to. Comments may also
be submitted to Planning Commission members directly at planningcommissionCo)albemarle ore or by letter sent to the address in
the letterhead of this correspondence.
After the Commission has made a recommendation on the proposal, a public hearing will be scheduled for the Board of
Supervisors. Public hearing items are typically scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m., but some Board meetings begin as early as 1:00
p.m. You will not receive a letter of notification about the Board of Supervisors hearing; however, you may check the status of
Board meetings at the County's calendar at www.albemarle.ore/community/county-calendar. You may also follow these steps to
sign up for the Albemarle County Newsletter:

2. Place your mouse on the "Community" tab at the top and select "Sign up for our newsletter"
3. Follow the instructions on the sign-up page.
