Box 205 Charlottesville, Virginia 22902 April 15, 1968 Albemarle Planning Commission County Office Building Charlottesville, Virginia Gentlemen: Enclosed is my application for rezoning of a parcel of property located in Earlysville, Virginia. Also, I am enclosing a copy of my site plan and a copy of Page 31 of the Albemarle County Land Book. It is my desire that this property be rezoned from A -1 to B -1. On March 5, 1968, Building Permit # M -92 was issued to me in order that I might begin construction of the shopping center to be known as Earlysville Green, Center for Shopping. Also enclosed is my letter dated February 21, 1968, to your group which was dated too late for consideration, which will give you additional information. Sincerely, / ` Ja es E. CRAIG EARLYSVILLE, VIRGINIA February 21, 1968 Albemarle County Planning Commission County Office Building Charlottesville, Virginia Gentlemen: Enclosed is a site plan for a proposed shopping center which 1 plan to erect in Earlysville, Virginia. This proposed shopping center is Exhibit 1 of the enclosed exhibits. The parcel of land on which this shopping center will be erected is page 31 parcel 32 of the Albemarle County land book, which is enclosed as Exhibit 2. Adjoining this proposed shopping center site is Earlysville Heights, a residential subdivision being developed by Mr. A. P. Williams. Directly across the road from this proposed shopping center is Whytes Store. Earlysville is the hub of the rapidly developing Northwest section of Albemarle County, and it is my feeling, that a convenient shopping area is definitely needed in this rapidly growing section of Albemarle County. The businesses which 1 plan to have located in this shopping center are a filling station, grocery store, beauty and barber shop, laundromat, and possibly a restaurant. My request to you is that the zoning of this parcel of land be changed to B -1 from A -1 in your proposed zoning ordinance which hopefully will be enacted in the near future. Your consideration in this matter is greatly appreciated. Sincerely yours, (7 d ames E. Craig JEC :gkw Enclosures JAMES E. CRAIG EARLYSVILLE. VIRGINIA April 26, 1968 PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: JAMES E.
