RE: Letter of Revision to Existing Site Plan for Boar's Head Inn & Sports Club
Aquatics Area
Dear Francis:
The University of Virginia Foundation is a requesting a minor site plan amendment to
install a new retaining wall located near the Boar's Head Inn & Sports Club outdoor
pools. Attached are landscaping and structural drawings that depict the new retaining
wall system.
Attached is a memorandum to request a critical slopes waiver for approximately 2249
square feet. Attached to the memorandum is a reduced sketch that depicts the location
and quantity of the critical slopes.
Per conversation with Kenny Thacker a revised Erosion and Sediment Control Plan is
not required because less than 10,000 square feet of disturbance will occur with this
revision and it is not associated with the tennis court expansion.
I have attached eight copies of the landscaping and structural drawings. Please review
and advise if you need any more information.
Sincerely,
Daniel C. Faga

Dear Mr. MacCall:
This memorandum serves to request a critical slopes waver for approximately 2249 square
feet of property located adjacent to the Boar's Head Inn Sports Club as illustrated on the attached
exhibit.
All slopes in this area are man -made. Disturbance of these slopes will have no detrimental
affects on the natural quality of the land.
The disturbance of these slopes is necessary to expand the aquatics deck area for purposes
of reducing overcrowding adjacent to existing pools during the summer swimming season. The
new walls will also provide aesthetic improvements through the replacement of the existing chain
link fence with new wall and upgraded fencing.
Thank you for your work on this project.
Sincerely,
r1I%'!"
