DO NOT CLICK on links or open attachments unless you are sure the content is safe. Hello Betty, I am reaching out again because time is of the essence for I will have to terminate my lease if I do not have your clearance. In addition, the slated opening date for my practice, 1/4/2022, and the supplies I ordered will have to be significantly delayed. I virtually cannot move forward until this particular electrical issue is cleared. Do you think the email I sent is adequate and acceptable? I am happy to amend any insufficiency. Your prompt response is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Denise A. I am writing to inform you that nothing used in my physician office, Skyline Family Medicine ,LLC at 145 Ednam Drive, Suite 214, Charlottesville VA, 22903, will involve any electrical equipment that touches patients. I have confirmed that all equipment such as a speculum light, otoscope, ophthalmoscope, and EKG machine run on rechargeable batteries that are never operable when plugged into an electrical wall socket. They only operate when removed from an electrical source. In other words this equipment never touches patients while being attached to an electrical source. I am hopeful that this statement allows for me to get zoning clearance for my new physician office. I appreciate your work, your concern, and your diligence for patient safety. Thank you also for your time. I have already moved into this 253 square foot office rental with the intent to open a small medical practice on 1/4/2023. 1 started paying for rent on December 1, 2022. My landlord looked into the electrical compliance you are asking for. In this office there will be one exam table and the only electrical equipment I will be using is simply turning on the lights. I am having an exam table that is 250 Ibs delivered on Saturday 12/17/2022. 1 am told by my office rental landlord that in order to comply with the county's electrical coding you are asking for, I will have to pay for my own electrical wiring into the suite. If I am unable to afford this wiring which the landlord said is expensive I will have to move out and terminate my lease. I am starting this new micro -medical practice and this is certainly not an obstacle I intended to have. Is there any chance that a practice this small and this simple does not have to meet the same criteria as a clinic with 20 exam rooms or a procedure facility, or an ER? Thank you for your time and for any adjustments or considerations that can be made. Your quick response would be much appreciated.
