Install check dams in roadside ditch on Avon Street below new entrance and proposed sediment basin. 2. The existing site entrance shall be used as a temporary construction entrance until such time that sufficient grading occurs to make the new entrance functional. Careful planning shall accompany this conversion so that a functional construction entrance will be in place at the beginning and end of each work day. Additionally, the existing two 12" CMP's, which convey drainage across the existing entrance on the project site, and also TMP 90 -33, shall remain functional, and protected from sediment, until the new storm system at the new entrance can be installed (see # 3) . 3. Install new storm system, X1 - X2 - X3 at new entrance and redirect the existing drainage ditch on Avon Street, above the new storm system, into inlet X3, taking care to stabilize the disturbed diversion ditch with rip rap, and providing a check dam below inlet X3 to act as a back -up berm. The objective of this operation is to be able to handle drainage above the site improvements, and convey it below the site improvements without sediment contamination. Storm drain inlet protection shall be in place at inlet Z2 at such time it becomes functional. 4. Work shall proceed to install the proposed sediment basin and sediment trap A at the entrance in a way that will ensure an adequate construction entrance at all times. Silt fencing shall be placed below the sediment basin area for added protection. 5. At such time that the basin construction is completed, work related to installing the stormwater detention pipe (Do -D1), with its outfall (00 -1 - 00) into the SWM basin, shall occur, along with the storm sewer extension from the detention pipe to the new entrance (D1 - D2 - E1). Excavation for this work , which does not drain directly to the sediment basin, shall be protected by a diversion below this work, which directs drainage to the sediment basin. Storm drain inlet protection shall be provided at structure D2 when it becomes functional. A temporary manhole top will be required at structure E1, when the adjacent trap is functional, in addition to an 8" pipe stub with culvert inlet protection to help drain the sediment trap (along with inlet X2). See detail on Sheet 4. 6. Prior to on site grading activities all sediment diversions shall be in place and sediment trap B at the northwestern corner of the site shall be in place. 7. Prior to the offsite work relating to the construction of the turn and taper lane and the waterline extension from the Avon Street, Stoney Creek Drive intersection, new drainage structure E1 shall be in place in accordance with Step 5, and new drainage structure X3 shall be blocked, with heavy duty plastic, which shall be held in place by aggregate, with drainage being directed into silt trap A. All new and repaired ditch sections along Avon Street should be lined with VDOT approved EC -2 fabric upon completion. Upon satisfactory. completion and stabilization of the offsite improvements on Avon Street, the contractor shall seek approval from the Erosion Control Officer to unblock drainage structure X3. At such time this is accomplished, permission may be sought from the Erosion Control Officer to reduce the size of sediment trap A. B. Handbook and Virginia Regulations VR 625 -02 -00 Erosion and Sediment Control Regulations. ES -21 The plan approving authority must be notified one week prior to the pre - construction conference, one week prior to the commencement of land disturbing activity, and one week prior to the final inspection. ES -3: All erosion and sediment control measures are to be placed prior to or as the first step in clearing. ES­I; A copy of the approved erosion and sediment control plan shall be maintained on the site at all times. ES -5: Prior to commencing land disturbing activities in areas other than indicated on these plans (including, but not limited to, off -site .borrow or wasted areas), the contractor shall submit a supplementary .,erosion control plan to the owner for review and approval by the plan approving authority. ES - -1y 'The contractor is responsible for installation of any additional erosion control_ measures necessary to prevent erosion and sedimentation as determined by the plan approving authority.
