County Code section 16-102 requires each person who proposes to establish or extend a central
sewerage system or central water supply to notify the board of supervisors of the proposal.
Section 16-103 requires that the county engineer review the notice and information provided to
determine its compliance with the code and county policies.
This submittal is being reviewed in conjunction with the Zoning Map Amendment request as
noted above. Please refer to the comments below related to the central sewerage system and
central water supply request.
1) Please update the request to include the latest version of the Central Sewerage and
Water Supply Exhibit. The exhibit in the request has a revised date of 2/7/22 but the
ZMA plans have a revised date of 8/15/22. The force main routing in the ZMA plan was
revised to avoid a small wetland that is not reflected in the central system request.
2) Revise the date on the letter so that it is current.
3) Complete and submit a reliability classification worksheet linked here.
4) [§16-102.2] Provide and show the total number of water and sewer connections. This is
different from the number of units, as many units are within multifamily buildings.
5) [416-102.4] Submit preliminary plans of the central sewerage system, including the lift
station and profiles of the gravity mains to ensure what is proposed will work. I am
concerned a 2n1 lift station may be required. 30% "design" plans would satisfy the term
"preliminary plans".
6) How will the units on the right as one enters the project be served for sewer. Will they
tie -into the force main or will another gravity main be required? Show how these units
will be connected to the central system.
7) Provide correspondence from ACSA acknowledging they have no objections serving the
site at the indicated points of connection and that they will not take over the lift station
as a public facility.
Please let me know if you would like to discuss or review these comments.
Sincerely,
Fank V.R 1PE, UM
