The Planner for the Planning Services Division of the Albemarle County Department Community Development will
recommend approval of the plan referred to above when the following items have been satisfactorily addressed. (The
following comments are those that have been identified at this time. Additional comments or conditions may be added or
eliminated based on further review.) [Each comment is preceded by the applicable reference to the Albemarle County
Code.]
Review Comments:
1. [32.5.2 (s)] Add the application number, SDP202200066, to the project title on the Title Sheet.
2. [General Comment] Please add the Site Review Committee (SRC) signature panel (attached) to the cover sheet.
3. [General Comment] Add a date of revision.
4. [32.7.9.41 Please update the plant schedule to include the name, size, quantity, etc. of all existing and proposed landscaping
features.
a. [32.7.9.8] Please provide the canopy area per plant for each species type, and then state the total canopy per
species type based on the amount of trees/shrubs provided. Canopy calculations can be found here:

5. [32.7.9.81 For commercial uses such as restaurants the minimum required tree canopy is ten percent. Add this to the
landscape calculations.
6. [32.7.9.9(c)] Add the following note to the landscaping plan: All landscaping and screening shall be maintained in a
healthy condition by the current owner and replaced when necessary. Replacement material shall comply with the
approved landscape plan.
7. [32.4.3.31 A certificate of appropriateness must be obtained from the ARB prior to approval of this minor site plan
amendment. See Margaret's review comment below.

The Department of Transportation, Charlottesville Residency Transportation and Land Use
Section, has reviewed the above referenced plan as prepared by FPW Architects, dated 22
November 2022, and finds the plans generally acceptable.

A VDOT Land Use Permit will be required prior to any work within the right-of-way. The
owner/developer must contact the Charlottesville Residency Transportation and Land Use
Section at (434) 422-9399 for information pertaining to this process.
