Your deferral request dates back to May 19, 2014. You will either need to submit revised drawings addressing the issues in my email of May 6, 2014 below or request that the application be withdrawn. If neither happens, I will have to issue a letter of administrative denial of the application. I would appreciate it if you could get back to me by the end of the day tomorrow, Friday. The following issues have been identified that would need to be adequately addressed for my administrative approval. ARB Purview: In our phone discussion, I had indicated that ARB review /approval may not be required due to the limited visibility from the Route 250 West and Route 250/29 Bypass Entrance Corridors. However, I have since learned that the ramp connecting Route 250 West /Ivy Road to the bypass is an Entrance Corridor in itself, so this proposal will require ARB review and approval. However, it will be an administrative review with me. ARB Review Fee: The required $120 ARB review fee was not included with this application. The sign permit will not be released until that fee is paid. Sign Materials: Revise the sign drawing to indicate the manufacturer's name and product ID for the sign structure materials (stone). Provide samples of the material for review. Pantone Numbers: Revise the sign drawing to indicate the Pantone numbers for all proposed sign colors. This includes the proposed color for the monument roof. Pantone numbers for white or black are not required. Landscaping: ARB General Sign Design Guidelines require a planting proposal using ground cover, shrubs and /or trees to integrate the freestanding sign into the overall landscape development of the site. Revise the sign location to meet required setbacks. Sign Illumination: Revise the sign drawing to include a note indicating the sign is not to be illuminated.
