ARB COMMENT
NOTES
X
1. ARB Sign Guidelines discourage the use of pole -mount
OK — done
signs as currently proposed. Revising the proposal by
going back to what was originally proposed but with a
one foot tall, clear gap between the top cabinet (with the
Mercedes -Benz logo) and the bottom cabinet (but with
no text or graphics) would adequately address this issue.
The lack of text/graphics on the bottom cabinet along
with its separation from the top cabinet would keep it
from being counted as signage area. Include a height
dimension for the bottom cabinet.
X
1. ARB Sign Guidelines and the Zoning Ordinance both
OK — done
require that internally illuminated cabinet signs have
opaque backgrounds. Revise the sign drawings to
include the following note: "The bottom cabinet shall be
non - illuminated. The top cabinet, with the Mercedes -
Benz logo, shall be internally illuminated but only the
graphic shall illuminate."
X
1. Revise the sign drawing to include the following
OK — done
required note limiting the intensity of the LED
illumination: "The level of illumination provided by the
LED lights shall not exceed the illumination produced
by a single stroke of 30 milliamp (ma) neon."

regarding landscaping "The landscaping around the
existing sign shall remain."
