On January 3,2014,Clark returned the call. He indicated the following: 1. The portal ships from the factory with the lighting installed. The manufacturer will not provide it any other way. 2. The portal was installed with the lighting as shipped,and the lighting for both the portal and the sign were connected to power. 3. Clark contacted Brown after my December 26,2013 phone call, informing them that the portal illumination was not approved. 4. Brown subsequently disconnected the portal illumination. The sign remains connected and is the only thing illuminated at this time. They would like approval for the 70% gloss. I have told them they would need to make an ARB application (as an Amendment to an approved Certificate of Appropriateness) for a full review. They would also need to get prices for all the ACM panel colors so we don't go back to the ARB twice. Let me know if you think differently. Thanks Brent W. There is only 200 lin. ft. of 1 ft wide red on the whole building. This adds about$40,000 to the cost project. The owner want to go come back to see if they can use standard 70%gloss instead, since there is such a small amount of this material, given the premium required to get it. Can this be done administratively, or can we get on the June 4th agenda? I have yet to confirm that the same premium is expected for the 30% silver and white.
