This letter is in response to the attached Letter of Revision Request dated February 7, 2023. The
Department of Community Development hereby grants approval of this LOR for the following
modification to SDP201500048, depicted on the modified site plan and described below.
1. Allow the parking lot to be paved with asphalt instead of gravel.
This change is noted in the attached request letter and plan. This is the second Letter of Revision for this
site. A total of three LORs may be requested after which any further changes to the plan will require
submission in the form of a site plan amendment application.

SUBJECT: Request Letter for Application for Letter of Revision
REFERENCE: SDP201500048 - Mechum's Trestle
Dear Mr. Pohl;
In accordance with the Albemarle County Code, Chapter 18, Section 4.12.15, Minimum Design
Requirements and Improvements for Parking Areas, we are seeking permission to resurface our parking
lot with asphalt. While the existing gravel and asphalt lot has been maintained with grooming, we feel
that the intensity of lot's use warrants paving to improve its strength and durability, and to facilitate its
maintenance over time.
Since a portion of the existing lot includes a relatively small area inside the floodplain, an application
for floodplain development has been submitted under separate cover.
