We have reviewed the above noted application for a County -wide Certificate of Appropriateness for the
Architectural Review Board. Your proposal meets all the design criteria for this type of Certificate, subject to
the following conditions:
1. Execution of the design indicated on the final approved plans, attachments, materials, samples, and
other submittal items presented.
2. Mechanical equipment shall not be visible from the Entrance Corridor.
3. Window glass shall not be highly tinted or reflective. Visible light transmittance (VLT) shall not drop
below 40%. Visible light reflectance (VLR) shall not exceed 30%.
Please note the following:
1. Any changes in the approved design will require a new application and additional review.
2. Changes made to the site or architectural plans after issuance of a Certificate of Appropriateness can
delay the signing of final site plans and the approval of building permits. It is in the applicant's best
interest to notify ARB staff of such changes and to initiate the review of amendments to ARB-approved
plans to avoid future delays.
3. Certificates of Appropriateness are valid for the same period that the corresponding site plan is valid. If
there is no site plan required for the proposed work, the Certificate of Appropriateness is valid for 3
years. Applicants requesting an extension of the period of validity must do so in writing. The letter must
be received by the Director of Planning prior to the expiration date.
