Also consulted was the County Fire Marshal, Ira Cortez. i Our collective opinion was that this building was a near total loss and restoration shall be in excess of 75% of its appraised value. County records showed the appraised value of this building to be at $15,000 plus. Your conservative estimate on materials and labor was $24,000, and this estimate exceeds the appraised value over 100%. The Deputy County Attorney and I felt the Ccunty appraised value would have more weibht than the appraisal by John J. Bradshaw although Mr. Bradshaw's appraisal may have fully reflected the present day value. We do not question his credibility but feel the County appraisal is an official record and the best evidence of the value of the building upon which you paid taxes. . In my opinion, to comply with the ordinance by obtaining the Special Use Permit and other permits is in your best interest over the long run. You have a chance to do this now and as the Zoning Administrator, I urge, you to do so. However, if you are aggrieved by this decision, you may appeal it to the Board of Zoning Appeals within 30 days. 0 • Albert & Percy Clark Page 2 June 29, 1978 If there are any questions, please so advise.
