Although permit application has been made for this work, the required permit has not yet been issued. It is a violation of Section 108.0 of the 2003 Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (USBC) to perform such construction prior to the issuance of the appropriate permit(s). In accordance with Section 114 of the USBC, it is directed that all construction work on the house cease immediately. Construction work may re-commence when the permit for this work has been issued.
