Edwards C. L. S. President B. Aubrey Huffman C. E. Vice President Soil Erosion & Sedimentation Control Plan for Camellia Park April 23, 1979 The purpose of this plan is to grade for development approximately 1.9 acres of property on Georgetown Road. The proposed construction will consist of 180 linear feet of state standard roadway with sidewalks, drainage facilities, water lines, and sanitary sewer lines necessary to serve six new duplex • residential units and one existing single family residential unit. Before any major earthmoving operations are begun, hay bale sediment barriers will be constructed at the low point near both back property corners as shown on the accompanying drawing (sheet one of 2) . In addition to these temporary barriers, an earthen berm will be built at the western rear corner of the property as shown on the plan, the six inch outlet pipe under this berm will then be surrounded with no. 5 stone, haybales, or some similar material as approved by the Albemarle County Engineer or his assigns. The newly created dam will be a permanent structure and should be seeded and stabilized according to specs. as soon as possible. Once these siltation control items are in place and operable; the major portion of the site constuction may begin. During the time of construction, care will be taken to insure that all siltation and erosion control devices continue to operate efficiently. After wet weather periods, these items will be checked and cleaned as necessary. Silt,• debris, and discarded materials will be removed from in front of these items and either placed in fill areas or removed from the site. When the drop inlet is built at station 1+82.60, it will be treated with an additional sedimentation control device. All of these temporary measures will remain in place until the upstream disturbed areas have become stabilized and the siltation controls are no longer necessary. After all constuction has been completed the entire site will be cleaned up in a workman like manner and seeded areas which have not taken will be reseeded. As a minimum, seeding specs will be as follows: (per acre) 70 lbs K-31 fescue, 1000 lbs fertilizer (10-10-10) , two tons lime, two tons straw mulch; all mulchawill be anchored by a locally ac- cepted manner, as approved by the Albemarle County Engineer. If for any reason, disturbed areas cannot be stabilized within a time period of 60 days after the achievement of finished grades, those areas will be mulched as a temporary siltation control measure. During constuction, a 30 ft.x50 ft. gravel pad will be main- tained at the entrance to the site to clean mud and debris from the tires of departing vehicles.
