PROPOSAL: Requesting initial site plan approval for a 7,695 square foot special events building, a new entrance onto S.R.
729 (Milton Road), a new gravel travelway, and a new gravel parking area with 140 proposed parking spaces. In accordance
with special use permits SP201100016 and SP202100004.
ZONING: RA Rural Area - agricultural, forestal, and fishery uses; residential density (0.5 unit/acre in development lots)
ENTRANCE CORRIDOR: Yes
OVERLAY DISTRICT: FH Flood Hazard
POTENTIALLY IN MONTICELLO VIEWSHED: Yes
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN: Rural Area - preserve and protect agricultural, forestal, open space, and natural, historic and
scenic resources; residential (0.5 unit/ acre in development lots) in Rural Area 4 Comp Plan Area.
The purpose of this notice is to inform you about the proposed project its location and how You can access a copy of the
proposed plan and other project information including comments from staff reviewers.
Please contact the lead reviewer at sshoaf@albemarle.org for an online link through which you can view the plans,
reviewer comments, and provide feedback. The reviewer comments related to the proposal will be available to view on
June 29, 2023. Action on the proposed plan must be taken by July 14, 2023.
These projects are "by -right", which means that if the proposed plans meet the minimum requirements of the County's
zoning, site plan, or subdivision ordinances, they must be approved. Recognizing the importance of public comment, we
encourage you to reach out to the lead reviewer to express any concerns or questions you may have regarding the
application.
