The Erosion and sediment control plan submitted March 31, 2008 has received Engineering
review. The plan can be approved after the following items have been adequately addressed:
A. Erosion Control Plan [WPO200800013]
1. There is a pending Special Use Permit associated with this project.
• Special use permit will be approved prior to final approval.
2. The Planning Comission must approve a critical slopes waiver prior to the disturbance of
critical slopes on site. Engineering recommends processing this request with the Special
Use Permit.
• Special use permit will be approved prior to final approval.
• This item appears adequately addressed.
4. Please provide a benehfnar-k loeation, elevation and datiifn f0f topography.
• This item appears adequately addressed.
5. Please show the limits of clearing and grading encompassing all disturbances, entrances,
staging and parking areas, areas where sediment -laden runoff will cross, or any
construction related activities. For example, the construction entrance, parking and
staging area, pavement removal, telephone pedestal relocation, and work shed relocation
are located outside the limits of disturbance.
• Grading shown outside the Limits of disturbance and will be corrected prior to final
approval. The Asphalt berm appears to direct concentrated storm flows into the silt
fence and may cause the failure of the silt fence, resulting in the delay of the project
construction while the clean up and repair process is completed.
6. Erosion control measures shown in the way of construction. Silt fence shown in areas of
existing pavement.

• Although the silt fence is not adequate for this 2 -phase plan, wire - supported silt
fence along the lowest portion of the site may be adequate as long as it will be
installed to catch the water and not allow for storm -flow end -run erosion. Much
like silt fence check dams, the ends will be installed higher in elevation than the
main filtering section of the fence. The main filtering section of the fence will be
installed at the same elevation so that no filtering area is lower than the rest. Low
points are potential failure areas that may delay the progress of the site work.
Otherwise, a trap is required for disturbed area.
7. Please show the tewpofar-y stabilization symbal (T-S) E)a the plans,
• This item appears adequately addressed.
8. An E &S bond will be computed by the County once the plans have been approved.
• Reminder.
