From: Lisa Glass, Principal Planner Division: Zoning and Current Development Date: April 10, 2008 Subject: SDP 08 -57: Wray Building #5 Conversion Minor Site Plan Amendment The Albemarle County Department of Community Development, Current Development Division has received the application referenced above. I have reviewed the site plan amendment. The plan may be approved when the following items have been addressed. Each comment is followed by a reference to the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance. Revise plan to show the name of the development. The application form states "Wray Building #5 Conversion... ". Sothis title would be appropriate: Site Plan Amendment for Wray Building # 5 Conversion. (Section 32.5.6 a) 2. Revise plan to show location and dimensions of parking spaces. (Section 32.5.6 n.) 3. Revise plan to show a total of 4 Handicap (HC) spaces. Since buildings 4 and 5 share parking a total of 4 HC spaces is required. (you need to add one) Please show the (2) existing HC spaces to remain, as well as the two relocated spaces. (Suggestion: the second relocated HC space could be adjacent to the space you propose at building 5.) (Section 32.5.6 b.) 4. Revise plan to add an updated parking schedule showing the change in number of spaces (the 3/11 plan show a net loss of 5 spaces, which is acceptable). (Section 32.5.6 b.) 5. Revise plan to show replacement landscaping in the new island. Suggest 2 four -foot Myrica certiferas (Wax myrtles) as shown on original plan or a similar size tree. (Section 32.5.6 p.) 6. Add a signature panel for County Approval. (Section 32.6.6 f.) Additional comments: a) Suggest you delete the parking space closest to the loading dock for easier access to the dock. (Section 32.5.6 b.) b) Description of Intended Use and Justification on the application form, states 3 `high wall; The wall appears to be 5' to tie into the existing conditions. This is a reminder that the wall requires engineer certification with the Building Permit application.
