Because this sign design meets the established criteria for the Pantops Shopping Center, and because the design otherwise meets the ARB design guidelines, I am able to review this proposal administratively for the ARB. I have approved a sign of the design outlined below. You may consider this letter your Certificate of Appropriateness. WALL SIGN Type: Channel letters Materials: Aluminum with translucent plex faces. Location: 598 Pantops Ctr: centered vertically and horizontally above store entrance in sign band. Mounting: Letters mounted on raceway. Sign Height: 36" Sign Length: 18' -7 3/8" Letter Height: First line: F -8 "; second line: 1' -0" Text: "PARTY STARTS HERE" "COSTUME & PARTY CENTER" Colors: Faces: white; trim caps and returns: bronze; raceway: to match brick wall. Graphics: None. Illumination: Internal LED: channel letters with translucent faces shall be constructed such that no light spills outward from the top, bottom, sides or back. This approval is predicated on the fact that the design and materials, as proposed and listed above, will be used. The acceptance of approval implies that the applicant has agreed to execute the design as indicated on the submittal items presented, and as listed above. Any changes in the approved sign or materials will require an amendment to the application and must be reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1. This approval does not include any window signs. If window signs are proposed, a separate application must be made, reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board. 2. The sign drawing package contains conflicting information in regards to the color of the raceway. One drawing indicates the raceway is to be a cream/tan color. The other drawing states that the color is to match the brick fascia. Please be aware that the raceway must be painted to match the brick fascia.
