RE: ARB 2007 -95: Flow Auto — Maintenance Building Addition
Dear Scott and Peter:
I have reviewed the recent submittals for the above - referenced proposal, including architectural
plans A1.1, 1.2, 1.4, 4. 1, and D1.1 with revision date of 5/5/08, A1.3, 2.1, 2.3, and 7.1 with
revision date of 2/19/08, and A2.2 with revision date of 4/14/08. 1 have the following comments.
1. The primary EIFS color for the building was approved as "gray dawn ". "Gray flannel" is
listed in the schedule on A2.3. The "gray flannel" should be revised to "gray dawn ".
2. The site plan corresponding to this amendment was not submitted for review. The following
comments remain outstanding:
a. Revise the photometric plan to show illumination levels calculated using a
maintenance factor of 1.0. Ensure that lighting levels do not exceed 30 footcandles.
Revise the luminaire schedule to clearly note the color of the proposed fixtures.
b. Revise the site plan to show the proposed planter on the west side of the building.
Provide for review complete information on the plants proposed for the planter.
Please note the following:
1. The site plan for the maintenance building must be coordinated with the site plan for the
addition and new display parking. Please double -check that the changes proposed to the
planting strip between parcels 14D and 15D are coordinated throughout.
2. Complete information on wall signs was not provided. Consequently, none of the signs
included on the architectural drawings are approved. The ARB will require that company -
standard designs be modified to meet the EC Guidelines.
Please provide:
1. Two full sets of revised drawings addressing each of these conditions. Include updated ARB
revision dates on each drawing and an ARB approval signature panel.
2. A memo including detailed responses indicating how each condition has been satisfied. If
changes other than those requested have been made, identify those changes in the memo also.
Highlighting the changes in the drawing with "clouding" or by other means will facilitate
review and approval.
3. The attached "Revised Application Submittal" form. This form must be returned with your
revisions to ensure proper tracking and distribution.
When staff s review of this information indicates that all conditions of approval have been met, a
Certificate of Appropriateness may be issued.
