Regarding the limited remodel, based upon sheets A2 "Exterior Elevations" and color rendering
"WAL MART Charlottesville, VA #1780" (submitted and received on 5/12/08) we have
determined that the proposed repainting of the building does not constitute a substantial change in
design or material of the original development. For this reason, we have administratively
reviewed your proposal. You may consider this letter your Certificate of Appropriateness for the
repainting.
This approval is predicated on the fact that the design and materials, as proposed and listed above,
will be used. The acceptance of approval implies that the applicant has agreed to execute the
design as indicated on the submittal items presented, and as listed above. Any changes in the
approved sign or materials will require an amendment to the application and must be reviewed
and approved by the Architectural Review Board.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
1. This approval does not include any window signs. If window signs are proposed, a
separate application must be made, reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review
Board.
2. Logo and channel letters with translucent faces shall be constructed such that no light
spills outward from the top, bottom, sides or back.
