Erosion Control Plan
1. The plans propose to realign state road F -178 Gold Eagle Drive. Road plans are required. VDOT
approval is required. Access and frontage must be maintained for all existing parcels.
2. VDOT approval is required for any work within VDOT right -of -way.
3. All existing easements must be shown with deed book references, locations, and dimensions. All
proposed permanent easements must be recorded prior to ESC plan approval. Temporary
construction easements must either be recorded prior to ESC approval, or a letter of intent from the
land owner must be provided.
4. All WPO stream buffers must be shown on the ESC plans. Stream buffer disturbance should be
minimized. Stream crossings should be minimized.
5. The floodplain limits should be clearly shown on the ESC plan sheets, with FEMA map and date
references. Disturbance within the floodplain should be minimized.
6. All slopes 25% and greater (critical slopes) should be shaded on the ESC plans. Critical slope
disturbance should be minimized.
7. The limits of clearing and grading should be shown more clearly on sheets 3.2 and 3.3.
8. The plans need adequate construction entrances. Parking areas, staging areas, stockpile locations
are required. Concepts for construction access must be provided, as the water /sewer lines cross
roads, railroads, streams, floodplain.
9. An adequate ESC narrative is required for the plans, including Albemarle County ESC notes.
10. No ESC perimeter control or protection has been provided for the proposed grading for the
realignment for Gold Eagle Drive.
11. The dust control (DC) symbol must be shown on the plans.
12. Existing vegetation must be shown on the plans.
13. Critical erosion areas must be identified on the plans.
14. Temporary slope drains cannot exceed 5 acres in drainage area. If the drainage areas exceed 5
acres, pipe design is required.
15. Outlet protection calculations are required. Ditch /channel computations are required. Adequate
channels (MS -19) must be provided at each outfall.
16. An ESC bond will be computed by the County once the plans have been approved.
