Because this proposal does not constitute a substantial change in design from the previous wall sign and because the design otherwise meets the ARB design guidelines, I am able to review this proposal administratively for the ARB. I have approved a sign of the design outlined below. You may consider this letter your Certificate of Appropriateness. WALL SIGN Type: Channel letters Materials: Aluminum with translucent acrylic faces. Location: 32 Mill Creek Drive: centered vertically and horizontally in the sign band above the entrance bay on the south elevation. Mounting: Letters individually mounted directly to the wall. Overall Sign Height: 6' -0" Overall Sign Length: 26' -8" Letter Height: 3' -2" Logo size: 6'0" tall x 6'6" wide Text: "FOOD LION" Colors: Faces: White acrylic #7328; Trim Caps & Returns: Dark Bronze. Graphics: Lion logo inside a square- shaped outline, centered between the words Food and Lion. Illumination: Internal neon This approval is predicated on the fact that the design and materials, as proposed and listed above, will be used. The acceptance of approval implies that the applicant has agreed to execute the design as indicated on the submittal items presented, and as listed above. Any changes in the approved sign or materials will require an amendment to the application and must be reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1. This approval does not include any window signs. If window signs are proposed, a separate application must be made, reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board. 2. Logo and channel letters with translucent faces shall be constructed such that no light spills outward from the top, bottom, sides or back.
