The Planner for the Zoning & Current Development Division of the Albemarle County
Department Community Development will recommend approve the plan referred to above when
the following items have been satisfactorily addressed. (The following comments are those that
have been identified at this time. Additional comments or conditions may be added or eliminated
based on further review.) [Each comment is preceded by the applicable reference to the
Albemarle County Code.]
1. [4.17.4] On the lighting plan, revise so that the maintenance factor (LLF) is 1.0. For
Albemarle County review the maintenance factor must be 1.0. Revise to meet this
requirement, and update the photometric plan reflect the 1.0 maintenance factor.
2. [4.17.4] Provide the cut sheets for each type of lighting fixture on the plan.
3. [32.7.9.6] It appears that the street trees could be revised to be spaced differently, and the
spacing could be less than 50' in order to meet the required number of trees. The
requirement for spacing is for the maximum spacing, however the spacing can be
reduced, as long as it is uniform, in order to meet the required number of trees. Revise the
street trees to meet the required amount of 16.
4. [32.7.9.9] Check the tree canopy calculations and SF that is provided in the chart for each
species of tree. The canopy numbers should match those found in the County's canopy
calculation chart.
