The plan cannot be approved as submitted and will require the following corrections before approval can be granted: A. General Review Comments 1. All plans submitted must be signed and sealed by a licensed professional. [18- 32.6.1] 2. Please provide a benchmark location, elevation, and datum for topography. An existing utility or other known position will suffice. [DM] 3. Please provide maximum height for all proposed retaining walls. [Building Official Policy] 4. Safety railing is required for retaining walls over 4 feet high. 5. Please provide dimensions for all proposed permanent easements. [18- 32.7.4] 6. Easements are not shown consistently throughout the plans (for example, Sh. C7 does not match Sh. C8 for drainage easement from parcel TMP 78 -10). 7. Please label proposed entrance with VDOT designation. 8. VDOT approval must be obtained for any plan affecting public right -of -way. 9. Steep slopes and retaining walls adjacent to parking lots may interfere with the 2 foot grass overhang required for 16' parking spaces. [18- 4.12.15] 10. Please specify the slopes of travelway into the parking garage and the sight distance provided for cars exiting the garage. [18 -4.12] 11. Please check the Storm Drain Design Computations spreadsheet for consistency with the plans and profiles. Measurements and hydrologic coefficients from the plan do not match the spreadsheet (for example: STR -1 to STR -IA, & STR -1 to STR -EX3; ST -13). 12. Please provide calculations for the pipe flow and capacity from manhole EX -2 to the pond. 13. It appears that EX -3 is a grate inlet which will collect flow. Please provide information in the Stormwater Inlet Computations. 14. Carryover flows from inlets on grade do not appear to be accounted for on the Stormwater Inlet Computations. 15. Storm sewer pipe slopes should be a maximum of 16% or anchors per VDOT standards should be provided. 16. Please provide end sectional details and outlet protection computations for all outlets. Please include dimensions and stone sizes for all outfalls. 17. Please provide accurate details for all storm conveyance channels to match the storm water conveyance channel schedule. 18. Please submit an Erosion & Sediment Control plan and WPO application for review and approval. B. SWM Plan Review Comments 19. Please provide a copy of an agreement between Whitehouse and the owner of parcel 7817-A for use and maintenance of the stormwater management pond on this parcel. 20. Please provide a copy of the calculations, details and plan showing that the stormwater pond design accounted for the water quality and quantity requirements of the Whitehouse site. 21. If you are seeking pollutant removal credit from the two proposed rain gardens, you must submit a WPO application with a Stormwater Management Plan and all required details and calculations.
