The ARB had the following comments: 1. The general architectural character appears to be appropriate. Concentration regarding architectural detail and plantings for the two buildings closest to the EC will be vital for approval. 2. General planning character: leaves too much of an appearance of a sea of parking from the EC; the concept illustrated in the perspective regarding planting along the EC appears to be appropriate, but it can change to mitigate views of parking. 3. The general color palette /materials seem appropriate; for example, brick accents in paving, deep facades allowing for light/shadow, and complementary color palettes. 4. Window treatments /fake windows: Clear glass and omitting fake windows are appropriate. Using recessed panels to complement adjacent real windows is appropriate, as in elevation A. 5. Eliminate visibility of loading areas with both architecture and landscaping. 6. Drive - through structure location: The ARB will be reluctant to approve visible drive - through structures on both frontage buildings if visible from the EC. 7. Rooftop equipment shall not be visible from the EC; screening is not acceptable. 8. Provide plans and photographs showing the context of the site. 9. Provide a site section(s) showing the relationship of structures and plantings to the EC. You may submit your application for continued ARB review at your earliest convenience.
