As the freestanding sign is not illuminated, and because this sign meets the EC Sign Guidelines, I am able to review this proposal administratively for the ARB. I have approved the sign of the design outlined below. You may consider this letter your Certificate of Appropriateness. FREESTANDING SIGN Quantity: 1 Type: Panel between posts buried in concrete Materials: MDO plywood, vinyl, wood Location: Set back 10' from north property line at the mouth of the entrance drive Panel Size: 4' high x 6' long Panel Colors: Background: — White; Letters: "Scottsville Elementary School" PMS Orange 021C ; "7868 Scottsville Road " - black Graphics: Head of a tiger with black, white, and orange colors used in the lettering; two black paw prints Illumination: N/A Mounting: Direct burial into concrete Landscaping: Oval- shaped mulched bed circumscribing freestanding sign with "Harbour Dwarf Nandiae" planted at the four corners and "Liriope" ground cover This approval is predicated on the fact that the design and materials, as proposed and listed above, will be used. The acceptance of approval implies that the applicant has agreed to execute the design as indicated on the submittal items presented, and as listed above. Any changes in the approved sign or materials will require an amendment to the application and must be reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1. This approval does not include any window signs. If window signs are proposed, a separate application must be made, reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board.
