The Zoning & Current Development Division of the Albemarle County Department of Community
Development will approve the plat referenced above when the following items have been satisfactorily
addressed. The following comments are those that have been identified at this time. Additional comments or
conditions may be added or eliminated based on further review. [Each comment is preceded by the applicable
reference to the Albemarle County Code.]
1. [Sec. 14- 302A21 Vicinity Map. COMMENT: Per the ordinance, vicinity map must be at a scale of
1 "= 2000'. Please revise as necessary.
2. [Sec. 14- 302A11] Instrument creating property proposed for subdivision. COMMENT: Please note
that subject parcel must be a lot of record prior to the approval of this subdivision.
3. [Sec. 14- 302B1] General information. COMMENT: Please provide date of drawing and remove
"health department copy- not for recordation" note.
4. [Sec. 14- 302B6] Tax Map and Parcel Number COMMENT: Please provide tax map and parcel
number once parent lot is recorded.
5. [Sec. 14 -303N] Private streets required statement. COMMENT: Please provide the required note.
6. [Sec. 14 -316] Approval of entrance on public streets. COMMENT: VDOT approval is required for
new street entrance onto existing street.
7. [Sec. 14 -317] Instrument evidencing maintenance of certain improvements. COMMENT: Pursuant to
this section, please submit a private street maintenance agreement for review by the County
Attorney.
8. [Sec. 14 -310] Health director approval of individual private wells and/or septic systems.
[Sec. 14 -309] Soil evaluations.
[Sec. 14 -416] Individual private wells and septic systems.
COMMENT: Health department approval is required prior to final approval of the plat. Provide soils
work in accordance with these sections. The health department may require additional information.
Please be aware that the existing house on Lot A must be served by a well on Lot A; the County does
not permit off -site wells. Lot A may not use the well on Lot B. This comment is being provided to you
based on information from the Zoning Administrator. Questions should be directed to Amelia McCulley
