PROJECT HISTORY
The Architectural Review Board conducted a review of this proposal at its meeting on October 6,
2008. The applicant had indicated they would be attending the meeting; however, no one
representing the proposal was present at the meeting. The Board approved the request, pending
staff administrative approval of the conditions included with the approval. Those conditions are
outlined in Attachment A. The applicant was provided with a copy of the Board's action and has
requested a re- review of the same proposal, with the applicant present to represent it.

The Albemarle County Architectural Review Board reviewed the above noted item at its meeting
on Monday, October 6, 2008. The Board, by a vote of 4:0, approved the request, pending staff
administrative approval of the following conditions:
Revise the sign drawings by changing the proposed yellow background color to PMS
1151-1 and the red text and graphic color to PMS 1795C.
Confirm that the only elements to be illuminated are the word Super, the number 8, and
the swoosh.
The current roof sign panel is not in proportion to the words. The sign should be
redesigned to visually reduce the blankness on the ends of the panel with additional
detail.
Please provide:
1. Two full sets of revised drawings addressing each of these conditions. Include updated
ARB revision dates on each drawing and an ARB approval signature panel.
2. A memo including detailed responses indicating how each condition has been satisfied. If
changes other than those requested have been made, identify those changes in the
memo also. Highlighting the changes in the drawing with "clouding" or by other means will
facilitate review and approval.
3. The attached "Revised Application Submittal" form. This form must be returned with your
revisions to ensure proper tracking and distribution.
When staff's review of this information indicates that all conditions of approval have been met, a
Certificate of Appropriateness may be issued.
