Dear Mr. Tassell:
I have reviewed your recent submittal for the above - referenced project consisting of:

Outstanding issues that will need to be further addressed are shown in italics after the original comment from
the Action Letter of February 14, 2007.
2. Provide a photometric plan showing the location of all proposed building and site lighting, in a clear (not
blurred), legible format. Cut sheets of all proposed building and site lighting are to be included on the
photometric drawings. Revise the lighting schedule to indicate the mounting height and proposed finish of
all building and site lighting; bronze is preferred. All lighting sources in excess of 3,000 lumens are to be
in full cut off fixtures and noted in the lighting schedule.
Individual lighting cut sheets, 8 I /z" x 11 " in size, were provided with this submission. All required
information (cut sheets) must appear on the drawings contained in the site plan set. Revise the lighting
plan to include the proposed lighting cut sheets, illustrating the fixture and placement of the bulb, within
the set of full size site plan lighting plan drawings.
8. Revise the sign drawings to designate the proposed method of sign lighting. Provide a detail that clarifies
the opaque quality of the letters and how the back -lit appearance will be achieved.
Sheet C3 contains two lighting cut sheet details of Reverse Channel Letter construction. One detail is
labeled as "halo illuminated neon " while the other is labeled as "halo LED illuminated ". If LED lighting
is proposed the level of illumination provided by the LED lights must not exceed the illumination
produced by a single stroke of 30 milliamp (ma) neon.
Revise the Reverse Channel Letter details, as needed, to correctly indentify the type (neon or LED) of
illumination proposed. Revise the Reverse Channel Letter details by labeling which sign(s) the details
apply to. If LED lighting is proposed, verify the level of lighting by adding the following note to the
drawing: "The level of illumination provided by the LED lights must not exceed the illumination produced
by a single stroke of 30 milliamp (ma) neon. "
Please provide:
1. Two copies of revised drawings addressing the aforementioned comment.
2. A memo indicating specifically how the condition has been satisfied. If changes other than those
requested have been made, specifically identify those changes in the memo, also. "Clouding"
requested changes (information) will facilitate the review of your submittal. All requested information
is to be shown on the sheets in the site plan package - not
3. The attached "Revised Application Submittal" form. This form must be returned with your revisions
to ensure proper tracking and distribution.
When staff s review of this information indicates that all conditions of approval have been met, a Certificate of
Appropriateness may be issued. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
