The Planner for the Zoning & Current Development Division of the Albemarle County
Department Community Development will recommend approve the plan referred to above when
the following items have been satisfactorily addressed. (The following comments are those that
have been identified at this time. Additional comments or conditions may be added or eliminated
based on further review.) [Each comment is preceded by the applicable reference to the
Albemarle County Code.]
1. [14- 302(B)(1)] General information. Provide the method of determination for the north
arrow.
2. [ 14 -211 and 14 -212 (A)] Verification of family division. Provide a copy of affidavit, deed,
letter from attorney stating: grantee, grantor and their relationship; and certifying that this
is a Family Division in accordance with Section 14 -208 and related provisions of the
Albemarle County Code. A template for the affidavit is attached.
3. [14- 212(B) and 14 -3161 Approval of entrance on public streets. All entrances onto a
public street shall comply with Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) standards
and be approved by VDOT. Please provide a letter stating such compliance and
approval.
4. [14 -309; 14 -310; 14 -416] Soil evaluations; health department approval. Provide the
results of percolation tests or other methods of soil evaluation to determine the suitability
of the soil for septic systems with conventional drain fields. These results will be
forwarded by the agent to the health department for approval. Provide three (3) copies of
the soil information.
