SMITH'; 'contact @gormanarchitects.com' Cc: Summer Frederick Subject: Engineering review of Faulkner Falls Road, ESC, and SWM plans (WPO- 2008 - 00054) The Erosion & Sediment Control, Stormwater Management, and Road Plans (WPO200800054) submitted 16 December 2008 have received Engineering Review and meet Albemarle County minimum checklist items for approval. However, at this time, a grading permit can not be issued because preliminary plat approval has expired. The applicant has the option of submitting a final plat (please note that before a final plat can be approved, all bonds must be posted), or the applicant may resubmit the approved preliminary plat with a new application and fee. (The plat submitted with the road, esc, and swm set was not reviewed.) Once a plat is approved, please submit 7 paper copies of the Plan to Current Development Engineering. (These sets are for the inspectors and do not need to include all sheets. Please contact me for a list of the sheets needed if you wish to only print the minimum number of pages.) The E &SC bond amount is $53,000. The SWM bond amount is $17,000. The Road bond amount is $79,000. The forms and instructions to post the Water Protection Ordinance Bond and Road Bond can be found on the Community Development Department Web site on www.albemarle.org. You may contact Pam Shifflett (Albemarle County Department of Community Development) at ext. 3246 for further information on bonding procedures. A schedule of completion is also needed before any road bond is accepted by the county. This form is also available online. Once the E &SC bond and the SWM bond have been posted and a plat has been approved, you may contact the Department of Community Development to arrange a pre- construction meeting with a County Erosion & Sediment Control Inspector. Should the County Inspector find the limits of disturbance increased or the need for additional control measures required to protect the site, additional fees will be required. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thanks, Phil 12/31/2008
