Re: SP 2008 -00061 Slingluff Dock
Dear Mr. Slingluff:
Thank you for the recent submittal of your special use permit application. Please find comments on your
application included in this letter.
After this application is complete, it will need to go to two public hearings —with the Planning Commission and the
Board of Supervisors. The Board will make the final decision on whether or not to approve the request, and if there
will be any conditions of approval.
Please see the attached resubmittal schedule for a list of dates on which you can submit your revisions and
responses (if any) to review comments (below and attached), as well as for possible Planning Commission dates
(please note that the listed dates are the earliest possible, but actual dates need to be selected to suit the revision
schedule for each project.) If you do not intend to make any revisions, please call me, and we will set up a Planning
Commission date.
Please feel free to call me with any questions —I'll be happy to provide any help I can.
COMMENTS
Staff is not requesting any revisions to this application. However, the Zoning Division has made the following
recommendation:
• Standard condidtion for lighting limits on such uses at the reservoir should be used.
• "There shall be no lighting within 25 horizontal feet of the Reservoir, measured from the elevation
of the normal pool, which is Elevation 382."
• No structures other than the dock and access as proposed should be allowed.
• No removal of vegetation or earth disturbance within the 200 foot buffer.
If you need to make any changes to your plan to be able to meet these conditions, please let me know. Otherwise
we can proceed to setting a Planning Commission date as mentioned above.
Sincerely,
Scott Clark
