WPO- 2008 -00109 Boulders Road Extension
Amy,
We have reviewed the above plan and have the following comments:
- The high side and median edge -of- pavement low points need to be
recomputed and located to the stations where they will actually occur when the
pavement superelevation is applied. The sag points do not all occur at station
31 +50. The superelevation transitions prevent this from happening.
- The high side gutter sag point near approximate station 29 +25 may be
close enough (when recomputed) to the existing inlet at station 29 +00, that some
minor pavement warping could carry the gutter flow back station 25' to create a
new sag condition. Otherwise, a new sag inlet will be required and connected to
the system.
- Inlet 215, if necessary due to spread exceeding 2', will require an "on
grade" longitudinal slope.
Relocate inlet 213 down grade and relocate pipe 204 to connect from 213
to 201. This eliminates the long run of pipe under the pavement.
- Spread values for high side inlets cannot exceed 2'.
Add midpoint spread values for sag inlets 201 & 203.
- The gutter width value used in the computations for median inlets should
be 1' instead of 2'. This applies to inlets 203, 205, 207 and future 209.
Add a note on sheet DP -3 indicating that DI -2B curb inlets are sized
based on throat interception only. Grate openings are not accounted for.
- Adjust drainage divides on sheet DP -1 as necessary.
Please let me know if you have any questions,
Thanks
Joel
