Because this sign design meets the established criteria for the Albemarle Square Shopping Center, and because the design otherwise meets the ARB design guidelines, I am able to review this proposal administratively for the ARB. I have approved a sign of the design outlined below. You may consider this letter your Certificate of Appropriateness. WALL SIGN Type: Channel letter Materials: Aluminum with translucent acrylic faces Location: 632 Albemarle Square Location 1: southwest elevation, centered vertically and horizontally in sign band below arch Location 2: northwest elevation, centered vertically and horizontally in sign band below arch Mounting: Letters mounted on raceway Overall Sign Height: 38.5" Overall Sign Length: 15' — 5 -11/16 " Letter Height: 22" Logo Height: 38.5" Text: "U.S. Cellular" Colors: Text: "U.S. ": Faces, trim caps & returns: 3M #3630 -53, Cardinal Red vinyl "Cellular ": Faces, trim caps & returns: 3M #3630 -97, Bristol Blue vinyl Raceway: to match color of wall. Logo: 3M #3630 -97, Bristol Blue vinyl Illumination: Internal neon: channel letters with translucent faces shall be constructed such that no light spills outward from the top, bottom, sides or back. This approval is predicated on the fact that the design and materials, as proposed and listed above, will be used. The acceptance of approval implies that the applicant has agreed to execute the design as indicated on the submittal items presented, and as listed above. Any changes in the approved sign or materials will require an amendment to the application and must be reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1. Proposed window signs for the entrance door in the southwest elevation, as shown on AGI Drawing #5.5, latest revision date 1/7/09, do not require ARB approval due to their lack of visibility from the Entrance Corridor. If additional window signs are proposed, a separate application must be made, reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board.
