The submittal included sheets 1 -8 of 20 with revision date of 1/20/09, sheets 9 -13 of 20 with revision date of 1/13/09, sheets 14 and 15 of 20 with revision date of 1/15/09, and sheets 16 -20 with revision date of 12/1/08. My review has focused on sheets 9 through 15. It is my understanding that the other sheets have not changed since my previous review and I have not spent time confirming this by reviewing those sheets. If my assumption is incorrect, submit a list of changes that have been made and I will review those plans. Regarding the landscape plan, the layout and plant choices are acceptable. However, the plan is not completely coordinated with the plant schedule and the plan is difficult to read. The following changes are required: 1. Include the plant abbreviations in the plant schedule. 2. For plants that are proposed in more than one size, provide different abbreviations for the different sizes. (For example, the maples.) 3. For each abbreviation shown on the plan, include the abbreviation in the schedule. (For example, RH is in the schedule, but RH1 and RH2 are on the plan.) 4. Use a single symbol for each plant. (For example, the Cf are shown three different ways and the Vp are shown two different ways.) 5. Provide the quantity of plants and a connecting line for each plant group on the plan. (For example, the Ilex, Rh, Az.) 6. Where plants are shown on more than one overlapping sheet, provide the plant information (quantity, abbreviation, connecting line, etc.) on both sheets. 7. Make the label for the trees west of the curved 12 -space parking row legible. 8. Label the small tree at the west end of the western playing field that is currently not labeled. 9. Check and correct all plant quantities. Some appear to be inaccurate. (For example, the Vp and Ce.) I have tried to provide examples in this list to help clarify the issues that need to be resolved. Due to the complexity of the plan and the inconsistencies, the examples may not be all- inclusive. You should check and double -check the planting plan and the schedule for complete coordination and accuracy before re- submitting. Regarding the lighting plan, in my previous correspondence I indicated that the bollard fixture would meet ordinance requirements if the 32 watt fluorescent lamp were used. This change was not made on the drawings. I spoke with Rich Salopek yesterday morning and he indicated that switching to the 32 watt lamp would not be a problem. The following change is required. 10. Revise the lighting plan and the bollard fixture to use the 32 watt fluorescent bulb. You may consider this letter a conditional Certificate of Appropriateness. Your Certificate of Appropriateness is granted with the condition that the above -noted revisions be made and included in your final site plan submittal. If changes other than those outlined above are made to the plan, those changes are also subject to my review and should be outlined in a list provided by you with the final site plan. If changes are inconsistent with the ARB's approval, the revisions may be forwarded to the ARB for additional review and approval. This approval is predicated on the fact that the design and materials, as proposed and exhibited for review, will be used. The acceptance of approval implies that the applicant has agreed to execute the design as indicated on the site plan, attachments, materials, samples, and other submittal items presented. Any change in the approved design or materials will require an amendment to the plan and must be reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board. Also note that this approval is subject to the following condition: Mechanical equipment shall not be visible from the Entrance Corridor. If you have any questions concerning this action, you may contact me.
