Dear Mr. Shimp:
I have reviewed your resubmission for the above -noted proposal received 1/21/09 and consisting of the
following plans:
Sheet C1: Cover Sheet, latest revision date 1/21/09
Sheet C2: General Notes & Legend, latest revision date 1/21/09
Sheet C3: Existing Conditions /Demo Plan, latest revision date 1/21/09
Sheet C4: Site Plan & Details, latest revision date 1/21/09
Sheet C5: Landscape Plan, latest revision date 1/21/09
Outstanding issues that will need to be further addressed are shown in italics after the original comment from
the staff review letter of November 11, 2008.
1. Revise the dumpster enclosure detail on Sheet C4 Site Plan & Details to include the product ID and color
number for the proposed stain on the fence /gate enclosure; a medium earth tone color is appropriate.
Provide a color sample of the stain. Revise the fence /gate enclosure height on Sheet C4 so that the fence is
a minimum 1' taller in height than the dumpster container.
Comments: The dumpster pad detail, Sheet C4 Site Plan & Details, identifies the proposed stain for the
fence /gate enclosure as Benjamin Moore Exterior Semi - transparent Natural Stain, Product ID 32806. The
requested sample of this stain was not provided with this submission. A medium earth tone color was
suggested as an appropriate choice. Detail" Typical Dumpster Pad Detail" on Sheet C4 "Site Plan &
Details" contains a note stating that the minimum height of the dumpster enclosure shall be 8' -8" and the
dumpster height is 7' -8 "; however, detail "Board Fence Dumpster Enclosure Detail ", on the same sheet,
shows the enclosure height as 8'.
Recommendations: With the next resubmission, provide a sample of the proposed stain color for the
fence /gate dumpster enclosure. Be advised that a medium earth tone color is considered appropriate.
Revise detail "Board Fence Dumpster Enclosure Detail ", on Sheet C4 "Site Plan & Details ", to indicate
that the proposed height of the dumpster enclosure is 8' -8 ".
Please provide:
1. Two copies of revised drawings addressing the aforementioned comment.
2. A memo indicating specifically how the condition has been satisfied. If changes other than those
requested have been made, specifically identify those changes in the memo, also. "Clouding"
requested changes (information) will facilitate the review of your submittal. All requested information
is to be shown on the sheets in the site plan package - not
3. The attached "Revised Application Submittal" form. This form must be returned with your revisions
to ensure proper tracking and distribution.
When staff s review of this information indicates that all conditions of approval have been met, a Certificate of
Appropriateness may be issued. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
