I. Prior to any construction within any existing public right-of-way,
including connection to any exlsti road, a permit sFiall be obtained
from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). This plan as drawn
may not accurately reflect th-, requirements of the permit. Vetere a�
discrepancies occur the requirements of the permit shall govern.
2. All paving, drainage related materials and construction methods shall
conform to current specifications and standards of VOOT unless otherwise noted.
3. Erosion and siltation control measures shall be provided in accordance wlth the
approved erosion control plan and shall be installed prior to any clearing,
grading, or other construction.
4. All slopes an disturbed areas are to be fertilized, seeded and mulched.
The maximum allowable slope is 2.1 (horizontal:vertical). Mere reasonably
obtainable, lesser slopes of 4:1 or better are to be acheived.
5. Paved, rip -rap or stablilzation mat lined ditches my be required when
in the opinion of the Albemarle County Director of Engineering, or the
Director's designee, it Is deemed necessary in order to stabilize a drainage channel.
6. All traffic control signs shall conform wish the Virginia Manual for
Uniform Traffic Control Deviws.
7. Unless otherwise noted all concrete pipe shall be reinforced concrete pipe - Glass 111.
8. All excavation for underground pipe installation must comply with OSHA
Standards for the Construction Industry (2q GFR Fart Ig26).
OTHER, GONST UGTION NOTES
Cl. The location of existing utilities across or along the line of the proposed work
are not necessarily shown on the pies and where shown are only approximately
correct. The contractor shall on his own initiative locate all underground lines
and structures as necessary.
10. The contractor shall verify the locations of all boundaries, buildings, vegetation
and other pertinent site eleinents.
11. The contractor shall be responsible for notifying 'MI55 UTILITY° - I-800-552-7001.

I. The site improvements shall iv developed in general accord with the attached (copy on file)
Major Site Plan Amendment, entitled Crossroads Store Phases 2 4 3 51te Plan Amendment,
dated January 8, 2003;
2. The design of the drive-thro ugh structure shall be coordinated in size, material, color, and detail
with the existing building;
3. The new island south of "the drive -through and the Route 6012 frontage shall be planted with trees
to help minimize the impact of the, new structure;
4. Add two and one-half inch (2 1/2) caliper trees at forty (40) feet on center along the Route 02
frontage;
5. Add trees, shrubs, and ground cover in the new island south of the dive -through;
6. Building materials and colors shall match existing. Include notes on the elevations that confirm
this;
7. Provide complete details on new wall and site lights and any ligc]hts to be relocated. Lights that
emit three thousand (5000) lumens or more must be full cutoff fixtures;
8. All new 51gi5 visible from the EG shall match the design previously approved for this site; and
The florescent Ilght bulbs on the callings of the upper and lower porches of the existing building
shall be ahlelded'so that ttki bulbs are not visible from Route 2q and Route 02. This condition
may be satisfied by retrofitti the existing fixtures to achieve a full cutoff effect as per the
lighting ordinance (Section 4.17.
