Because the proposed sign is not illuminated and otherwise meets the EC Design Guidelines, I am able to review this proposal administratively for the ARB. I have approved a sign of the design outlined below. You may consider this letter your Certificate of Appropriateness. FREESTANDING SIGNS Type: Monument (panel supported by two posts) Materials: Aluminum, vinyl Location: West side of entrance into Clover Lawn Village Overall Sign Size: 5' 10' /a" wide x 5' 8" long Overall Panel Size: 5' 4" wide x 4' tall Text: Upper part of panel: "UVA Family and Specialty Care Crozet 375 Four Leaf Ln " Lower part of panel: "University of Virginia Health System" Colors: Upper part of panel: Background: blue (PMS 282); letters: white Lower part of panel: Background: white; Letters: orange (3M bright) and blue (3M lt. navy) Posts: White with blue (PMS 282) Graphic: Blue rotunda to left of text in lower panel Illumination: None Landscaping: 6 Green Velvet Boxwood @ 12" planting height minimum (3 on both sides of sign); 2 Meyer's Yew at 2' planting height minimum (one at each end of sign); 12 daylily (spaced regularly around shrubs); all in a mulched bed This approval is predicated on the fact that the design and materials, as proposed and listed above, will be used. The acceptance of approval implies that the applicant has agreed to execute the design as indicated on the submittal items presented, and as listed above. Any changes in the approved sign or materials will require an amendment to the application and must be reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board. Please note the following: 1. Any future freestanding signs will be required to have an appearance that is coordinated with this sign. 2. This approval does not include any window signs. If window signs are proposed, a separate application must be made, reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board.
