Winslow; 'William M. Eschenfelder'; Barbara Hutchinson Cc: Amy Pflaum; Glenn Brooks; Elizabeth Marotta; Ray Lilly Subject: Engineering Approval of Airport SWM and downstream channel plans (WPO- 2008 - 00059) Good afternoon, The Stormwater Management Plans and downstream channel analysis (WPO- 2008 - 00059), submitted 4 May 2009 (with additional sheets emailed on 8 May 2009), have been received by Engineering Review and meet Albemarle County minimum checklist for approval. The plans can be approved once the necessary offsite easements and approval letters from USACE and Virginia DEQ are received by engineering review. Once these documents have been handed over to the county, the applicant must provide 4 full sets of the plan (excluding sheets 59 -85) and 1 copy of the SWM plan (sheets 1, 3, 5, 8, 13 -16, 35, 42, 43A, 43B, 50, 51, and 52) to engineering. The E &SC bond amount is $637,500. The SWM bond amount is $182,600. The forms and instructions to post these bonds can be found on the Community Development Department Web site on www.albemarle.org. You may contact Pam Shifflett (Albemarle County Department of Community Development) at ext. 3246 for further information on bonding procedures. With the approval of this WPO plan, Current Development Engineering Review has no objection to the approval of SDP - 2008 - 00087. I have notified the project's lead planner, Elizabeth Marotta (in place of Megan Yaniglos), that all engineering concerns have been satisfied. Once the offsite easements and approval letters have been received, all WPO bonds posted, and the site plan approval process completed, you may contact the Department of Community Development to arrange a pre - construction meeting with a County Erosion & Sediment Control Inspector. Should the County Inspector find the limits of disturbance increased or the need for additional control measures required to protect the site, additional fees will be required. Please also note that should the Program Authority determine that the skimmers do not provide satisfactory sediment control in the field, a stop work order will be issued for the project until an alternative is designed and approved. Please contact me should you have any question. Thanks, Phil (434)296 -5832 x3072 5/11/2009
