Please provide a detail for the retaining wall. The retaining wall detail should include a handrail and a note stating that for any portion of the wall taller than 4ft, a handrail will be required. 2. Should the spot elevation in the southeast corner of the artificial field be 637? The crown and longitudinal pitch of the field appear to be between 0.46% and 0.48% except for the slopes to the point in the southeast corner. 3. The cleanout detail on sheet 4 shows the pipe exposed on the playing surface. Please clarify. 4. The County has refined its policy on artificial turf fields. The conversion of the grass to artificial turf increases the overall imperviousness of the site, so water quality and quantity control is a concern. Though, after evaluating the existing stormwater system, engineering review believes that water quantity control is not an issue considering the detention within in the existing downstream biofilter, underground pipe, and even within the underdrain system of the new field. However, water quality concerns still exist. The applicant should submit a WPO plan showing water quality treatment of the runoff from the artificial field. Water quality computations should be made considering the artificial field as gravel (70% imperviousness). Alternatively, in lieu of providing treatment within a facility, the applicant may commit to water quality monitoring of the runoff from the artificial field. The frequency and location of the water quality sampling should be determined by a qualified individual with experience in water quality analysis. Results and analysis of the raw data should be provided to the county every three months after construction of the field for a period of one year.
