Diez — Engineering Technician Max Greene A. Final Site Plan 1. Please provide source and date of topographic verification. [ 18- 32.6.6] 2. Retaining walls labeled with maximum height (walls require building permits according to Building Official policy) 3. Guardrail with VDOT designations shown for retaining walls over 4 feet in height next to parking or travelways [ 18- 32.7.2] 4. VDOT approval is required for any plan affecting public right -of -way 5. Turn and taper lanes with lengths and widths labeled (taper at 12:1 with 12' lane widths) 6. All entrances with a VDOT designation (PE -1, CG -9a, etc) 7. Curbing on all parking areas and travelways with VDOT designations (CG -2, CG -6) 8. Parking width x depth x aisle width is 9x18x24' or 1Ox18x20' (where a 2' grass overhang is possible parking spaces can be 16' deep per detail 2) Parking under roof appears to have support columns blocking them. Please confirm parking is possible in all proposed parking spots. 9. Light posts also appear to be within the parking space and may need to be moved to avoid damage. 10. Please label the Dumpster pad on the plan sheet. a. Loading and dumpster areas accessible at all times (not behind parking) b. Dumpster pads are 10'x10' with 8' in front for wheel bearing (total 18' depth) c. Drainage does not run across, through, or backwater in dumpster areas [18- 4.12.19] d. Dumpster pad detail or specification to be a minimum 4" stone base and 6" concrete of 3000psi at 28 days, or stronger, reinforced with a minimum grid of wire reinforcing or #4 bars at 12" on center. [specs are policy] 11. Lighting plan has discrepancies and does not match the rest of the plan. Please make the submittal congruent. Please show how the new sidewalk will be constructed to replace the sidewalk that will be removed for the entrance and turn & taper. B. Stormwater Management Plan 13. One Filterra overflow appears to be connected to the underground storage while the other appears to bypass the detention structure. a. Please provide a profile view of the entire detention facility with proposed stormwater elevations for the 2 and 10 -year storm. b. Calculations appear to need corrections to match the plan view. 14. A completed copy of the standard stormwater maintenance agreement and fee for recordation for any stormwater management facilities is required. [ 17 -304E] 15. Please submit copies of manufacturer's approval of the plan for any manufactured stormwater management facilities (filterra, stormfilter, sandfilter, etc.) [Policy] 16. Manholes are required on the underground stormwater storage structure for inspection and maintenance. a. VDOT designation (MH -1, DI -313, etc.) for each structure is required with a label on each structure to correspond with the computations. b. Concrete inlet shaping (IS -1) specified on any structure with a 4' or greater drop C. Erosion and Sediment Control Plan 17. Please extend the wire - supported silt fence on the northwest side of the property up to contour 610. 18. Appears an off -site grading easement will be required for wall construction and sanitary sewer connection. Once these comments have been addressed, please submit two (2) copies of the revised plans, calculations, and narratives to Current Development Engineering. Additional comments may be forthcoming due to the required changes /corrections to the submittal.
