Subject: SDP - 2008 -0064 Georgetown Hydraulic Professional Office SDP - 2008 -0064 Georgetown Hydraulic Professional Office Max Greene, We have reviewed the above plan and have the following comments: • Not all of the previous comments have been addressed. In particular, existing and projected traffic data needs to be provided. Also, the sight distance lines are not fully shown. Sight distance lines need to be shown in their entirety, including where they terminate. • The final site plan will need to include drainage plans and a profile of the entrance to demonstrate compliance with the CG -11 standard. • Our preliminary estimates indicate that the site generates enough traffic in the peak hour to warrant a left turn lane on Hydraulic Road. • The proposed entrance is located within the functional area of the existing Hydraulic /Georgetown intersection, and the additional left turns into the site will cause safety issues with left turning movements moving through possibly queued traffic. • The entrance location at the end of the taper/beginning of the right turn lane may increase the occurrence of rear -end collisions as vehicles enter the site. We have the following recommendations: e The entrance should be located outside the functional area of the intersection. e It may be necessary to look at an entrance off Route 656 and/or design entrance(s) to be right- 6/29/2009 Page 2 of 2 in /right -out.
